My name is Maria. I’m a freelance photographer, cinematographer and image editor. My love of photography began at a young age, when my brother and I found an old camera in my grandmother’s attic. After working as a children’s television presenter with BBC Scotland I decided to leave my native Scotland and go have myself myself a mini world adventure for five years, living first in Oregon USA before moving onto both Sydney and Cairns in Australia. The memories and friends I made along the way will stay with me forever. I love to travel and meet new and exciting people in weird and wonderful places. I currently study HND photography at college, while working freelance as an image editor for a fashion company here in Scotland. My whole world revolves around photography and film making, it keeps me awake at night thinking of all the wondrous things I can be shooting. I have recently became very involved with photographing the forgotten places here in Scotland.

I believe in life everyone is equal, no matter if you have nothing but the dirt under your feet, or are a multi millionaire, for at the end of the game, the king and the pawn both go back into the same box.
